WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY:

Occupational therapy is a health profession that helps people of all ages and abilities participate in everyday activities, also known as "occupations,". It aims to improve health and well-being by enabling individuals to engage in meaningful activities like self-care, productivity and leisure. Occupational therapists work with clients to identify challenges, develop strategies, and implement techniques to overcome limitations and achieve their goals, ultimately promoting independence and quality of life.

We offer a range of services designed to support individuals in improving their daily functioning and overall well-being to live their best lives. Our occupational therapy services focuses on practical, hands-on strategies to help people thrive in their everyday environments and routines.

Fleurieu OT provides comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) which analyses your functional performance in areas of self care and general day to day activities in and around the home and in the community. Our assessments, conducted by our occupational therapist Sarah White, helps clients understand their abilities and access the right support through the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). Each NDIS functional capacity assessment is tailored to reflect your unique needs and goals, helping to ensure that your plan provides the support necessary to enhance your independence and quality of life.

In addition, we offer personalized Occupational Therapy (OT) for individuals. Our Occupational Therapist Sarah White works closely with clients to build everyday life skills—from self-care and daily living skills to work and leisure. Whether managing a disability, mental health condition, or developmental delay, our OT service is person-centered and goal-oriented. Through a holistic and empowering approach, we help clients overcome challenges, build confidence, and lead more independent, fulfilling lives.

Virtual Reality Occupational Therapy
