Virtual Reality Occupational Therapy
We’re proud to offer Virtual Reality (VR) Occupational Therapy—VR Occupational Therapy utilizes virtual reality technology to deliver occupational therapy services, often in your own home or telehealth setting. It can be used for various purposes, including rehabilitation, skill development, and mental health treatment, by immersing yourself in controlled and interactive scenarios.
Here's a more detailed look at VR Occupational Therapy:
What do you need for a VR OT therapy session?
VR Occupational Therapy uses virtual reality (VR) headsets and technology to create immersive and interactive therapeutic environments for patients.
How it works:
Our Occupational Therapist Sarah White can design and customize VR experiences to target specific needs and goals, allowing clients to engage in simulated activities and practice skills in a safe and controlled environment.
Benefits:
VR offers numerous benefits, including:
Increased Engagement: The immersive nature of VR can make therapy more engaging and enjoyable, leading to better client participation and motivation.
Personalized Therapy: VR allows our therapist to create tailored scenarios and activities to meet individual needs, promoting personalised and effective treatment.
Safe and Controlled Practice: Clients can practice skills and confront challenges in a virtual environment without the risks or anxieties of real-world situations.
Improved Accessibility: VR can facilitate remote or telehealth therapy, making it easier for patients to access services, especially in remote areas or for those with mobility limitations.
Applications:
VR Occupational Therapy can be used for a wide range of conditions, including:
Rehabilitation: VR can aid in regaining lost skills and function after injury or illness by simulating real-world scenarios and activities.
Mental Health: VR can be used for exposure therapy, cognitive therapy, and other interventions to address anxiety, phobias, and other mental health conditions.
Skill Development: VR can help individuals develop and refine essential skills, such as fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, and social skills.
Examples:
VR can be used to simulate driving, shopping, or other everyday tasks, allowing patients to practice these activities in a safe and controlled environment.
NDIS Funding:
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for VR therapy for individuals with disabilities
This cutting-edge approach boosts motivation and makes therapy more enjoyable and effective. VR OT is ideal for individuals of all ages and abilities and can be accessed from the comfort of home. It’s a flexible, forward-thinking solution that supports greater independence and improved quality of life.

Independant Living Programs
We’re proud to offer an Individualised Living Program (ILP) designed to help individuals build independence and lead more self-directed lives. Tailored to each person’s unique goals, needs, and abilities, the ILP focuses on developing practical life skills such as budgeting, cooking, social interaction, and health management. Our dedicated team provides one-on-one support to empower participants, promote personal growth, and enhance overall well-being.
In addition, our 24 / 48-Hour Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Programs offer short-term, in-home support for those needing focused assistance. Ideal for individuals recovering from illness, transitioning from hospital care, or when primary caregivers need a break, this program delivers hands-on help with essential daily tasks. Our trained caregivers assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping—while also offering companionship and emotional support.
Each ADL visit is customized to fit individual routines and preferences, ensuring comfort, dignity, and continuity of care.
